Veteran Outdoor Leaders (VOL) is an initiative focused on employment opportunities for veterans and transitioning service members in the Outdoor Industry.  The Outdoor Industry is rapidly becoming a major force in the U.S. economy.  In 2017 outdoor recreation produced 7.6 million jobs and $887 billion in consumer spending.  This sector of the job market is virtually untouched by existing veteran employment services and the Outdoor Industry has not yet engaged with the veteran community as an advantageous workforce resource.

VOL aims to change that by providing unique and innovative programming and resources aimed at connecting the industry with highly skilled veterans that share a passion for all things outdoors.
